Just yesterday I went to go pick up the sample of limited edition 5-panel camp cap that I am offering as a reward- and I must say it came out pretty amazing! It is produced out of a striped Japanese denim fabric with a contrast under visor using the same red/white gingham as the ties. Only 50 will be available, and they will all be individually numbered…so please don’t sleep!

I had the opportunity to collaborate with Los Angeles based artist, Simon Fobi (better known as Cheese Politics) in order to create a special design specifically for my Kickstarter campaign, and this is what we came up with! Please don’t sleep, ONLY 60 t-shirts will be made.

Kim Jones use to be one of my favorite designers, and when he did this collection with Umbro (circa ‘07), I went CRAZY and damn near bought every color in pair smh. So far I have 3 pairs left, and this is one of them- I’m trying to figure out if I should keep ‘em or let ‘em go.
If you are interested or know anyone who is- let me know. They are a size 12.

You don’t know how mad I was when I missed out on getting this Converse x Mackintosh Jack Purcell when it first came out last year (Union was sold out in my size), but not anymore, thanks to Saint Alfred (Chicago)- one of my sneaker dreams came true! #randomactsofstunting
Yesterday I met again with my sewing contractor to check on this jacket we have been working on together, and to be honest with you, I was extremely nervous prior to my arrival because I wasn’t sure if my fabric choice/combination was going to work for the style of jacket we are creating. Thank God it does *deep breath*!!! I shall have the final-final results by this weekend.
When I first started The Essential Man, I reached out to so many different brand pitching “innovative” ideas, and most (if not all) declined or simply ignored my offers…but Phil (founder of MS&Co.) was one of the precious few who supported my vision from the very beginning, and he’s continue to do so. Now that it has almost been 2 years since I first launched the TEM site (and 1 year since launching the store), everything has come full-circle…I am pleased to announce that my 1st collaborative project is with MS&Co.- the company who has been supporting the vision since day one.
